I've been observing and studying pika in Yellowstone, Yosemite and the Sierra for over a decade, and aside from being adorable, they are also one of the most intrepid creatures in the world. They are one of the few animals at high elevations in the Sierra that don't hibernate or migrate to escape the harsh winter conditions-not bad for an animal that resembles a fluffy potato!

During my talk you'll meet some of my pika friends, like Petey and Sophie, who I have been observing the past two years. I'll answer all the questions you have about pika, and show some of my cutest photos and videos from my extensive encounters.
