More About This Website

Welcome!

Join me in my adventures in Yellowstone National Park. I've spent a lifetime exploring public lands, and I'm currently enjoying wandering in the sublime Yellowstone backcountry.

"Life is a dog and then you die. No, no, life is a joyous dance through daffodils beneath cerulean blue skies. And then? I forget what happens next."                                        Edward Abbey

"I have never been in a natural place and felt that was a waste of time. I never have. And it's a relief. If I'm walking around a desert or whatever, every second is worthwhile.”                                           Viggo Mortensen

This is a great, well thought out and concise website that really showcases your passion for nature and the great outdoors. The pictures are breath taking as is diverse wildlife shown here from the park.

That dog story brings tears to my eyes-it has been an emotional week anyway with the shootings in VA etc.

Hey Beth-you look pretty good as a geisha girl. Dad loved the music, cracked me up when he sang green back a dollar.

Hey Beth,
Very impressive with the 60 cups! It looked a heap more civilized than those hot dog eating contests. It sounds like you've got a whole lot going on over there. Continue to have fun!

Besu Puratto (pardon my katakana!): Your pictures brought tears to my old eyes. I lived in Tokyo from 1983 through 1994 -- eleven years with a few of those years off in Seoul. I really miss Japan and especially the wonderful people I met there. My wife and I still have many, many friends that visit us when they are here in the US. Many thanks for your pictures and descriptions. Cheers, earle

All I have to say is Red Sox here in Japan and they start cheering--he's quite the star.

Beth,

Daisuka Matsuzaka made his Red Sox debut yesterday against the K.C. Royals. He really lived up to the hype by allowing 1 run, 6 hits and striking out 10.

Next week the Sox will come back to Fenway where he should get a warm reception.

Beth, I am happy that you are enjoying yourself and trying different foods, etc. but as your mother I am reminded that as a child and even more difficult teen, you would NEVER eat casseroles or any mixed foods, which included such things as beef stew and meatloaf. To people from our culture these are normal foods and eel is not!!!!!! Mom
